Account mode

Selltix works with both Bitget modes: the classic futures account and the Unified Trading Account (Advanced mode included). There is no need to switch for Selltix.

For a unified account the key needs trading and read permissions in the unified account's section - see the Bitget key.

Position mode: hedge

Trading settings → Position mode → Hedge mode (the other choice is One-way mode). In hedge mode a long and a short on one coin are two separate positions.

A new Bitget account usually has this mode by default, but check it and set it by hand: Selltix never switches the position mode itself, it only reads it before a trade.

Why: one coin can be part of several trades at once. If one trade has sold a coin on Bitget and a new signal has to buy it on Bitget, a one-way account would just shrink the first position, so Selltix does not take such a trade. In hedge mode the two positions are held side by side.

The mode can be switched only with no open futures positions or orders.

Delta-neutral mode: off

This mode lowers the auto-deleveraging priority of positions hedged inside the Bitget account (spot bought, the contract sold for the same amount). In arbitrage between exchanges the other leg is on another exchange, Bitget does not count the position as hedged, and the mode gives nothing. Leave it off.

Collateral: USDT and USDC only

In Collateral settings choose Custom and keep only USDT and USDC ticked (USDT is always ticked and cannot be removed); untick every other coin - the counter should say 2 selected. Use Cash+ as collateral stays off.

Why not "All coins" or "Popular coins":

  • Selltix sizes a trade from the account's balance. With other coins as collateral the balance, and the trade size, move with their price.
  • Arbitrage positions do not depend on a coin's price; coin collateral does: when the market falls, margin shrinks exactly when it is needed.
  • Coins count as collateral at a discount, and Selltix reads free margin in USDT.

USDC stays as a second stablecoin: its price does not move. Selltix trades in USDT, so the main sum should be in USDT.

With only USDT on the account the choice does not affect trading - but the custom list protects against a coin credited by accident.

Leverage and margin mode

Do not change them by hand. Selltix sets the margin mode and leverage per coin before its first trade. Bitget does not allow a margin mode change with an open position, and changing leverage by hand changes the margin of an open one.

What needs no setting

Order confirmation (limit, market, trigger, TP/SL and the other switches) are the confirmation windows of the exchange's own interface, for orders you place yourself. They do not affect Selltix: an order sent through the API is executed without confirmations whatever the switches say.

Funds

  • The account must hold USDT: on the USDT-M futures account in classic mode, or on the Unified Trading Account.
  • Keep no coins but USDT and USDC on this account and do not trade by hand the coins Selltix trades.

Check

After the setup add the key in Selltix (Exchanges): the balance should show. If the balance cannot be read or trades do not open after a position mode or account mode change, write to support - orders are built differently in each mode.
