An exchange key without withdrawal
Selltix trades on your accounts through API keys you create on the exchanges yourself. A key needs only reading and futures trading. The withdrawal permission must stay off: Selltix does not work with such a key.
Rules for any exchange
- One key per exchange, created for Selltix only. Do not reuse a key another program uses: you could not revoke it separately.
- Permissions: read and futures (derivatives) trading. That is enough to see the balance and positions and to place orders.
- Do not enable withdrawals or transfers (Withdraw, Withdrawal, Transfer, Universal Transfer). If there is such an item, it must stay off.
- Do not bind the key to an IP address for now. The Selltix server has no fixed address yet; a key bound to an IP would stop working. When a fixed address appears, it will be given on this page.
- Check the expiry. Some exchanges limit the life of a key without an IP binding (90 days, for example): the date is on the key's page; reissue the key and replace it in Selltix before it.
- The futures account must be open and funded. Selltix trades USDT perpetual futures; the money has to be on the futures (or unified trading) account, not on spot or the funding wallet.
- The secret is shown once. Copy it at once; never send it to anyone - not in chats, not to Selltix support.
TIP
Menu names on exchanges change over time. If an item is called differently, go by the meaning: create an API key, give it reading and futures trading, give it no withdrawal.
OKX
- Profile → API → Create API key, purpose: API trading.
- Set a Passphrase and remember it: Selltix asks for it.
- Permissions: Read and Trade. Leave Withdraw unticked.

Bybit
- Profile → API → Create New Key → System-generated API Keys, API Transaction, Read-Write.
- Tick contract trading (Unified Trading / Contract: Orders, Positions).

Bitget
- Profile → API Keys → create a key, set a Passphrase.

MEXC
- Profile → API Management → create a key; under Futures tick viewing the account and orders and Order Placing.
- Leave Withdraw unticked. Keep the Access Key and the Secret Key; check the key's expiry date.
Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid uses an API wallet instead of a key: it can trade for your main wallet but cannot withdraw - that is how the exchange itself works.
- Open app.hyperliquid.xyz/API with your main wallet connected, generate an API wallet and authorize it.
- Keep the API wallet's private key. Selltix asks for the main wallet's address and this private key - the form labels the fields.
DANGER
The main wallet's private key is never entered in Selltix.
Other exchanges
The same order: the API section of the profile, a new key, reading and perpetual futures trading, withdrawals and transfers off. If the exchange needs a Passphrase, the Selltix form shows a field for it, with a hint for that exchange under the form.
Adding the key to Selltix
- In the app open My exchanges and pick the exchange.
- Paste the key, the secret and, if there is one, the passphrase.
- Tick the confirmation that the key cannot withdraw, and save.
- Before saving, Selltix checks the key with a request to the exchange. On OKX, Bybit, Binance, KuCoin and Hyperliquid it reads the key's permissions itself: a key that can withdraw is refused. On the others you confirm it yourself.
Keys are stored encrypted. You can replace or remove a key at any time, except while a position is open on that exchange. You can always revoke the key on the exchange itself - after that Selltix can no longer use it.
